What Is Going On With England (VS NZ)?

I think this sort of slump has been on the cards for a while. Englands much vaunted top six have not fired for a while. Cook has been the only one who has scored centuries consistently over the past year or so. He has been due a slump. Vaughan is not the player he once was: given the injuries he has had, he is lucky to still be playing. Strauss’s days in the Test team are surely numbered: his comeback has not worked out, and he does not look as though he has sorted out his technical difficulties. Bell: Why??? He is not an international batsman. Pietersen seems to have lost his zest. Collingwood does enough to appear better than the rest: preserves his wicket, fields well, and has started taking wickets. Making a play for the Test captaincy?
We all heard that this Napier pitch was full of runs. It may well be, but England are certainly struggling. It could be one of those pitches that is better on day two. It will be interesting to see how England bowl on it. New Zealands attack is probably best described as workmanlike. Englands in theory has a touch of class about it.
58 for 4 at lunch. Let’s see what the afternoon session brings.

Galveston is notorious for having poor surf conditions, so it ends up requiring an advanced rider to pick off decent waves in the mix of most of the poor waves coming in. for an adult, typically you may want to use a longboard 8′6″ plus, to handle the majority of the small waves coming in. Surfboards are like golf clubs. Your son will probably need a 7′6″ to an 8′0″ in order to pick off some of the waves coming in. However once you go to Cali, he may be just fine on the board he is currently trying to use, since the wave heigth and quality is vastly different I live in Hawaii, and I am from Houston, so I understand the difference between the quality of waves. Once you go to Cali, your son may end up realizing through experience, that one board will be good for Cali, while a longer and wider board may be better for Gavleston. Some of the boards I ride here in Hawaii, I would never try to ride in The Gulf simply because ofthe quality and size of the waves I am trying to paddle into.

1. A student needs to add 2″ to the length of a pattern. What lines should be used to make this change?
a.)adjustment line
2. After lengthening the front pattern piece of apparel, where else must this change be made?
a.)back (just kind of obvious because the back has to match the front)
3. a sleeve pattern needs to be shortened. Where should the change be made?
a.)adjustment line (there is a line on the pattern that says “shorten or lengthen here.” I’m assuming that is the adjustment line, since the other answers don’t fit).
4.)length and width adjustment should be made:
b.)after laying out the pattern

Is it religious evil to disbelieve in the spell-check and to use it?

The spell-checker is evil and \demonic. It’s always giving me the wRONG spelling and I have to look it up in the dictionary. It’s not up on current terms … it’s REALLY OLD! Yahoo needs to splurge and get an up to date spell-checker.
And who is that Scrapegoat in the first answer who CLAIMS never to heard of the word scrapegoat, when in fact she actually IS a Scrapegoat. The spell-checker even acknowledges it as a word but says that it must be split into TWO words. Sounds like a kewl message for the cell phone … “I can’t answer right now … I’m scraping my goat … leave your message at the tone.”
Or the new sign for the yard … (this will make people think twice … or maybe 3 times …. when they see THI ![]()
Beware of Scrapegoat!
The spell - checker IS possessed! And Cursed!
Peace Scrapegoats!

There are several websites that allow users to create a free playlist of songs that can be embedded into one of your IMVU Homepage panels.
I use imeem, but there are many others available…
http://www.imeem.com/
First, select songs and add them to your playlist. Once you’re done, select one of your IMVU Homepage panels for the player. Click the “Edit” tab on the upper right corner of the panel, select “Custom HTML/CSS” from the menu. Now copy-n-paste the “Embed Player” code from the music website into the Custom HTML/CSS box. Click “save” and your done. You may need to refresh your web browser before the player appears on your IMVU Homepage.
Helpful tip: make sure the “Auto Play” checkbox on the music website is checked, so that it will automatically begin playing when visitors view your page.
Have fun!

what is a no-talent ass clown?
I assume you mean a “no-talent acc clown” and Y! crossed out the two s’s? This refers to any person who can’t hack it - is a fake, a phony, a pretender, someone who is not the real thing, just clowning around. The term was immortalized in the movie Office Space and has […]

The term was immortalized in the movie Office Space and has been used by millions to describe inept bosses.
Samir: No one in this country can ever pronounce my name right. It’s not that hard: Samir Na-gheen-an-a-jar. Nagheenanajar.
Michael Bolton: Yeah, well at least your name isn’t Michael Bolton.
Samir: You know there’s nothing wrong with that name.
Michael Bolton: There was nothing wrong with it… until I was about 12 years old and that no-talent ass clown became famous and started winning Grammys.
Samir: Hmm… well why don’t you just go by Mike instead of Michael?
Michael Bolton: No way. Why should I change? He’s the one who sucks.

Why did rail do away with the caboose?

Cabooses were done away with as a labour saving move. Train crews, decades ago, used to have a full five members - three in the locomotive, two in the caboose. As the crews were pared down (modern ones have two or three, depending on the assignment), a second place wasn’t needed, and now everyone rides in the locomotive.
Technology also helped rid the railway of the caboose. Tail-end devices mounted on the last car monitor brake pipe air pressure, can deploy the emergency brakes from a toggle on the engineer’s control stand, and are equipped with motion detectors. The engineer’s control stand also usually has a DMD (distance measuring device), kind of like an odometer in footage, which allows them to measure distances along the way.
Wayside inspection systems have also replaced the visual inspections previously offered by crew members in the caboose. Every so often on a main line, these systems will scan the train for defects, such as hot wheels, overheated bearings, shifted loads, and dragging equipment. They broadcast their results over the main line radio channel.
Cabooses can still be seen on short lines, yard assignments, and some road switchers. However, many Class 1 (large) railways only use them as “rider cars”, meaning the doors are usually boarded or welded shut, and it’s nothing more than a fancy platform for crew members to ride on in the event the train needs to back up for an extended length.

Law School?

It depends on who you talk to. Yes, there are people who graduated top 10% of their ivy league law school and now make over $1 million as a partner and love being an attorney. Or, there are others who went to smaller, local law schools and are barely scraping by because of lack of employment opportunities or abandoning law altogether.
Law school, like most graduate programs, are not trivial endeavors. You’re talking about an additional 3 years of post-graduate work (and possibly loans if no one is going to support you financially) and another year of studying for the bar exam. Then, once you pass the bar exam, you’ll need to find employment.
Yes, it can be mundane because, as with any new first year/junior associate, you’ll be doing a lot of plebe work. (Unless you’re like a good friend who, straight out of law school, worked on the OJ Simpson case for the State.)
Also, the type of law you practice will also determine how bored/challenged you’ll be.
