It depends on who you talk to. Yes, there are people who graduated top 10% of their ivy league law school and now make over $1 million as a partner and love being an attorney. Or, there are others who went to smaller, local law schools and are barely scraping by because of lack of employment opportunities or abandoning law altogether.
Law school, like most graduate programs, are not trivial endeavors. You’re talking about an additional 3 years of post-graduate work (and possibly loans if no one is going to support you financially) and another year of studying for the bar exam. Then, once you pass the bar exam, you’ll need to find employment.
Yes, it can be mundane because, as with any new first year/junior associate, you’ll be doing a lot of plebe work. (Unless you’re like a good friend who, straight out of law school, worked on the OJ Simpson case for the State.)
Also, the type of law you practice will also determine how bored/challenged you’ll be.
